Being injured isn't ALL bad...
I can go more than two days without washing my hair. The level of sweat produced while strength training doesn't come close to the sweatfest that is running.
I can get strong. I have definitely noticed more definition since I started strength training 5-6 times/week. I even had to break out the 10 lb dumbbells a few weeks ago!
I don't take things for granted. Not just running. But little things. Like chasing my girls up the stairs. Having a dance party in the living room. Even kneeling down to help my girls do simple things.
I save money. I have only done one race this year, and I haven't bought any new running clothes or shoes since April. That is a good thing, right?!?
Ahhh! I'm current injured too! I have no idea what's wrong but I haven't run for a month. Then when I attempted one last week the pain came back. Kill me! I just want to run. Def don't get the same high from weight training. I hope you're feeling better soon!ReplyDelete
