A lot can happen in 24 hours. Lucky for you (and me) Scott is great at documenting our lives. I manage to remember to take a picture now and then too. And even Ellie Bean got in on the picture taking during the past day.
One of the highlights of the past day was my first run in 8 weeks. That's 56 days people!! It wasn't just a run though. It was an event. We even made it a family outing, because it just felt right having Team I Have Run do it together. And I loved every minute. Even the walking. And the horse petting. But the running was the best part. The pain free running. My return to running was a 10 minute fast walk, 5 minute run, 5 minute walk, 5 minute run, 5 minute walk.
My girls slept on the floor last night. It is one of their favorite things this summer. They wanted to build a fort in Grace's bed (the bottom bunk) and sleep together, but I vetoed having two bodies sleeping in a single bed. So they settled for the floor so they could be closer to each other. Apparently the distance between the top and bottom bunks is too far.
I posted a new article on
Runnerd.com. If you haven't checked out the site, you should! I know I'm biased, but it has some great original content and the race calendar is one of a kind!
I pool ran with Josse and Janae. The water aerobics instructor tried to strong arm us into joining the class, but we resisted and got our run on and even worked up a little bit of a sweat.
Ellie Bean and Princess Grace played Barbies. They had to take a picture of their Barbie family when they got it all set up. Apparently it takes 15+ tries to get a good shot. It also takes a few practice shots of Grace eating a cupcake.
My girls started swim lessons yesterday. Of course the weather decided to be overcast and rainy their first two days of lessons. I wore a hoody and used their towels as blankets during lessons today. But my girls are troopers and haven't complained at all.
And Ellie was fitted for custom earplugs today. They want to remodel our toy room to look like the doctor's waiting room. Can you blame them?
What was the highlight of your past 24 hours?
Tell me something about your last run!
That was seriously so weird how she tried to make us join the class. LOVE all the pics. My highlights were you, you, you, you. So happy you are running again!
ReplyDeleteI love that you guys make it a family event and all go out together. And it still just make me so happy that you are running pain free. Way to keep it conservative and be smart about getting back into it. Can't have you injured anymore. To celebrate, we should get enough fro yo to make you sick. Oh wait. Check! That was the highlight of MY day (well, not you getting sick, but seeing you girls). Several times on the way home anna told me how nice it was for you to give her such a *cute* jacket. Amen! You're the best!
