I have one pair of jeans that I really love. I'm sure you all know what I am talking about. I am wearing them today. And although after three years of wear they are looking a little tired, I still love them. I think I love them a little extra today because I just feel good. That is what running does. It makes me feel good (and maybe a little skinnier than yesterday).

The perfect jeans in 2006, brand spankin' new
I didn't make it on my 3-miler Monday but got out there yesterday. IT. WAS. AWESOME. I set my Garmin to show only the miles, and then I just ran. I didn't worry about time or pace. I stopped when my little girl wanted to look at the horses. I walked part of the last mile just to enjoy being outside and to give my baby a little extra time to sleep in the stroller. I just enjoyed running. The legs felt strong and healthy, only a little sluggish after almost two weeks off. My shoes made my feet happy. The weather was perfect. And I felt great all day. It was good. All good.
That run sounds as perfect as a run could be!
ReplyDeleteawesome! I need some new "good" jeans. Mine have all seen better days, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you! It is always nice to have a really good day!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I totally know what you are talking about. I have a fav pair of jeans and denim capris but sadly the capris are about to be retired, err I mean thrown out. They are a little threadbare but I just can't bring meself to get rid of them yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your 3 miler!
Sounds like a fabulous run!
ReplyDeleteI love having a perfect pair of jeans... and feeling good in them!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful run & a nice time with your girls.
Great post :) Makes me want to go running right now!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it when the planets align and it is all good...
ReplyDeleteWhen I hit my goal weight I bought my first pair of expensive (skinny girl) jeans. I LOVE my jeans and would wear them every day if I could.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of only looking at the mileage on my Garmin...I may have to do that in the future.
And yes my friend you are a Barbie :)
I hate weighing myslef, so I gauge how I'm feeling depending on how well my "skinny" jeans feel! Great blog!
ReplyDeleteYay for a great run and great jeans!!
ReplyDeleteThose jeans definitely look great! I've given up finding the perfect jeans, and converted to skirts.
