I don't claim to be a fashion, health, beauty or food blogger. Although I throw in a little of those things now and then. This is one of those times. I have a few things I have been loving lately that I thought I would share because sharing is caring.
My cousin bought me some GOOMEE hair loops after we had a conversation about my hair breakage issues. I am loving these! Not only do they come right out of my hair without taking a bunch of hair with them, but they also don't leave a mark. I was a little wary of how well my ponytail would stay put using these, but so far I have been happily surprised. So if you have breakage issues, hate that ponytail line in your hair after a workout, or just want to give your hair a little extra TLC, you need to get some of these. They come in 4-packs and there are a bunch of colors to choose from (mine are actually clear, which I love because they match everything). Another thing I was worried about was how many times I would be able to use one before I had to replace it. It actually bounces right back to its original size and shape after I take it out, so I have been using the same one for about two weeks and it is still like new.
cuticle massage cream at the grocery store and decided to give it a try. I LOVE it. My cuticles and around my nails have recovered nicely, and it has a pleasant peachy scent to boot.
Back to the hair. With all that breakage, I have a ton of loose strands and flyaways when I put my hair in a ponytail. I cannot exercise without a headband to keep all those broken, random-length pieces of hair out of my face. These Saucony headbands are my go-to headbands. They are adjustable, light and comfortable I don't even notice them once I put one on. And they don't slip or move around, no matter how sweaty I get!
The winter has wreaked havoc on my nails and cuticles. I've had so many hangnails and dry skin issues around my nails that I was getting desperate to get them healthy again. I first tried coconut oil. I've heard so many rave reviews about how it is a cure-all for skin and hair issues, but it didn't seem to make a difference after rubbing it into my cuticles nightly for a while. So I saw this
I got some new perfume for Christmas. And while Prada Candy remains my favorite, I'm really liking my new Scandalous perfume! It's just the right amount of sweet and subtle.
I got this Lululemon Top Knot Toque from Scott for my anniversary, and it has been the perfect addition to my winter running gear! It can be worn as a hat and I can pull my ponytail through the opening at the top or another smaller ponytail-specific opening, OR I can wear it around my neck to keep my neck and face warmer. It is so soft and is also reversible. I love things that are multifunctional and extra matchy-matchy.
